I don’t know about you, but when I think of Easter, I think of Lilly. To me, Easter is the start of Lilly season. The bright and bold patterns of Lilly Pulitzer dresses are finally acceptable to wear again – and I could not be more excited. So regardless of if you celebrate the holiday or not – I hope you have a relaxing and pleasant weekend : )
One thing that I absolutely love about Pittsburgh? PNC Park. Although I am not a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, the ballpark in this city is absolutely phenomenal (and the tickets are dirt cheap!). So this weekend, I will be trekking downtown to attend a Phillies vs. Pirates game at the stadium.
Nothing says spring like a ball game! And how cute is the new PINK MLB collection?! Can’t wait to purchase this henley : )
I am a huge art and architecture fan. So my freshman year I took an Art History class to fulfill a gen-ed requirement. We spend a week discussing all of the art that is famous in and around Pittsburgh. Andy Warhol, Carnegie Museum of Art and Phipps Conservatory were big focuses – and I quickly made my way to all three. But until this weekend, I had been unable to get myself to (in my opinion) the most impressive house of all – Falling Water.
Built by Frank Lloyd Wright in the 1930’s for the Kaufmann family (of Kaufmann department stores), it sits literally over a waterfall in the mountains about two hours outside of Pittsburgh.
This house was absolutely amazing. Although we were not permitted to take picture inside the house, the pictures from the outside are what really captures the beautiful architecture and creativity at work. The trip was completely worth it.
I have been dancing ever since I can remember. And as proof, I rummaged up this little gem from my very first dance recital (can you find me…?)
This weekend will be my third show with the Pitt Dance Ensemble. It’s a wonderful group of dancers with a passion and love for the art, and I cannot be more excited to watch my fellow performers dance their little hearts out. So as a little tribute, here are some shots I took during rehearsals of these talented ladies : )
If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, come out and support us!
I am a huge fan of breakfast. Morning? Night? I’m totally down. So when a friend suggested this scrumptious little treat as a morning meal in Disney over spring break, I was all for it. I have since found about twenty new breakfast recipes I want to try, and I’m here to share a few of them with you : )
Strawberry Waffle Popsicles
Don’t these look like a delicious way to start the morning?!
